Hiring efforts for new dining units opening spring/summer 2017 were augmented by Facebook advertising efforts. By spending $298, we created 1 Instagram ad, 3 Facebook ads, and one boosted post to reach 32,901 people and to received 486 clicks on the ads, for an average of $0.61 per click.
While that click rate is slightly higher than many of our other ads, this had a very specific call to action for a very narrow audience (apply now, assuming you’re looking for a job). We learned that Instagram ads may reach a lot of people but don’t necessarily garner clicks. We also learned that single images did best, but that ultimately, it was a boosted post that performed far and away the best.
This information will help us craft better Facebook ads in the future.
