The Memorial Union first floor reopened to the public in the late fall/early winter of 2016/17 after a major renovation project. To showcase the new space, the marketing department created a Housewarming Party and campaign.
With this opportunity, we invited new and returning students back into the space to try our new dining menus, pick up a give-a-way or two and to make Memorial Union their new home-away-from-home. We focused the graphics on the Rathskeller fireplace in all of our materials. Our branding took a dual approach creating elements that defined the tradition of the space, and fresh, modern design that keeps us current and is meant to be changeable from year to year.
