In a successful collaboration, the Wisconsin Union Marketing and Graphics Department, WUD-Music and Wheelhouse Studios came together to create a one-of-a-kind concert poster for the weekly Open Mic series at The Union.
WUD-Music came to the Marketing Department with a need for a poster for this event. Marketing and Graphics challenged the four Student Graphics Interns to come up with a design. Each student submitted their ideas. The WUD-Music committee then selected which design they liked best. The winner was UW-Madison junior, Alyssa Delloro. Alyssa has been working as an intern with Marketing and Graphics Department since the fall of 2014.
With the design selected, the graphic students ventured down to Wheelhouse Studios. It was here that Marketing and Graphics Intern and Wheelhouse Student Instructor, Noah Huber (UW-Madison sophomore), taught all how to screenprint posters. The in-house field trip was a lot of fun for the students and a great hands on experience.
The Marketing and Graphics Department look forward to more collaborative projects across departments in the near future!
